What will the Noah, The Creature Teacher™ help your child learn?

Learning Objective Application Game Interactive Edition Travel Edition
Animal Recognition In order to play the game, children must be able to associate an animal with its name, thus encouraging learning the names of the animals and the identification of the animals X X X
Hand/Eye Coordination/Tactile Recognition As part of game play, children are required to “feel” the animals inside of the ark in an effort to find a match to a particular animal. This forces a child to begin associating what he sees with what he is touching. X
Spelling By utilizing the reference card, children will begin to associate the spelling of the name with the animal’s picture. Additionally, as part of game play, children have to recognize by sight and sound the names of the animals. X X X
Alphabetization The game starts by determining which player has the first (lowest) alphabetized animal. This teaches children the concept of alphabetization. X   X
Counting The winner of the game is the player with the most pairs. The children must count their pairs and compare the amount they have with the other players to determine the winner. X   X
The Concept of Pairing The story of "Noah and the Ark" tells about animals entering the ark in "twos”. The game is based upon that same concept (pairing). Children will, as a result, learn about the concept of pairing as they play the game. X X X
Sportsmanship By playing Noah, The Creature Teacher™, parents and older players can teach children basic rules of sportsmanship-how to play and enjoy games (regardless of whether you win or lose); how to play fairly; and how to share. X   X
Memorization A key aspect of the game is to remember what animals have been asked for or revealed by other players during game play. By remembering where the various animals are, children will be able to pair more of their animals. X X X
How To Follow Rules In order to play the game, children must learn, understand and follow the simple instructions (rules). This key concept has wide application to learning in general. The rules are very simple to learn, and by mastering the rules, children will gain confidence regarding their ability to play and enjoy games in general, and even more, to follow and apply instructions.
